Further Information:
The larva of this moth feeds mainly on Rubus spp. A similar species is the Dysgonia torrida which is rarer and is distinguished thanks to the shape of the fascii found on the wing. The bands of D. torrida tend to curve slightly smoother than those of D. algira.
